Kratika Aggarwal is a Programmer Specialist at The Hilltop Institute. As Hilltop’s first Full Stack Engineer, she is responsible for developing and maintaining Hilltop’s various data, including Medicaid MMIS, Medicare, LTSS assessment, nursing home assessment (federal Minimum Data Set, or MDS), and inpatient/outpatient hospital discharge data. She provides support to analysts and programmers and assists with their data requests. Kratika also offers technological support for Hilltop’s website and Intranet and aids the Rate Setting team.
Kratika first gained experience at Hilltop through an internship and then as a contractual Tableau developer. As an intern, Kratika assisted in quality control functions and supporting the back-end and front-end engineers to include verifying business intelligence reporting on analyst findings through a combination of coding in Python, SQL, and Tableau. Prior to that, as a data analyst with Galytix Analytics Private Limited in India, Kratika acquired proficiency in handling tasks on PowerDesigner software, an industry-leading data modeling tool used to visualize, analyze, and manipulate metadata for effective enterprise information architecture. She also managed a data model repository and integrated/updated daily changes, acquired in-depth knowledge about financial spreading, and evaluated financial data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
Kratika earned her MPS in data science from UMBC and her BTech in electrical & electronics engineering from Shiv Nadar University- Delhi NCR, India. She also has a certification in Data Science and Analytics for Business (DSAB).
